Mary H. Andrews, 69, was born on December 20, 1950 to the union of Thomas Percy Reece and Arzelia Mae Richardson in Kansas City, Kansas. Her mother, two brothers, and two daughters preceded her in death.

Mary was educated in the Kansas City Missouri public schools. She was united in marriage to Rodney L. Andrews, Sr. on May 14, 1989. She had a compassion for helping people which enabled her to have an extensive career in the health care industry.

Mary was employed at Glennon Place working as a CNA, Restorative Aid and Private Duty Nurse until she retired. She received numerous awards for expert care and compassion. She was activity in the community as a volunteer for many years,

Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She departed this Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the Research Medical Center.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Rodney L. Andrews, Sr.; her children, Arzelia Boyd, Tanganika L. Chalpant and Rodney L. Andrews, Jr.; siblings Gerald Smith, Wesley Macon and Suprena Macon, twenty five grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020, 2:00 pm at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website. Due to the COVID19 Panademic situation mask are required.
