Mayetta Wainright, 60, was born October 24, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri to Benjamin Clark and Lorretta Wainwright. She was raised by Boney Green and Lorretta Wainwright-Green. She is now acquainted with three brothers, Michael Green, Fredrick Green and Boney Green; and one grandson, DaRon Price. Mayetta graduated from Paseo High School in 1973. She later met a man by the name of Ronnie Lee Goldsby and together they birthed two children, LaRon and Nikkia. Mayetta moved to San Fransisco, California in 1976, where she furthered her education and worked several jobs before returning to Kansas City in 1995. While home, she furthered herself even more in education and employment. In 2003, she became employed with the Federal Reserve Bank in the Consumer Help Department until her passing. She was loved by many co-workers, friends and family. Mayetta was always supportive, loving and guiding to all. Mayetta departed this life on March 22, 2016. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind: one son, LaRon Wainwright; one daughter, Nikkia Goldsby; her mother, Lorretta Green; two brothers, Marving Green and Johnny Green; two sisters, Annette Green and Arvelia Green; five grandchildren, Akeeyla, Danyea, Xiahna, Asia and Olivia; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 2, 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.
