Obituary

Michael Herron was born January 31, 1970, to the union of Alton Herron and Mary Jean Herron at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. From an early age, Michael accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, grounding his life in faith and love.

He was educated in the Kansas City Public School District and attended Southeast High School. While there, Michael excelled on the football field, earning All District Honors as a talented linebacker.

Following a family tradition, Michael began working at a young age, delivering newspapers alongside his family. In the early 1990s, he relocated to Texas and embarked on a successful career as a truck driver, traveling across the country. Later, he returned home to Kansas City and worked as a forklift operator for Yangfeng, where he took pride in his role and enjoyed the work.

Michael was a dedicated fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, always cheering them on no matter where life took him. He was also politically engaged, staying informed and involved in current events. Family was Michael's greatest joy—he cherished family gatherings, loved a good barbecue with ribs, chicken, and fish, and enjoyed spending time with those he loved.

He leaves to cherish in his memory; three daughters: Leandra Herron of Kansas City, MO, Marianna Herron of Denver, CO, Kali Herron of Denver, CO, two grandchildren: Khai Booker and Khari Booker of Kansas City, MO, four sisters: Crystal Young (Michael) of Bloomington, IL, Robin Herron Kline of Little Rock, AR, Ameenah Nu'man of Dallas, TX, Donna Moore of Raytown, MO, four brothers: Anthony Osler (Yvonne) of Fort Worth, TX, Alton Herron II, of Kansas City, MO, Ramont Herron of San Antonio, TX and Gregory Osler (Anita) of Kansas City, MO, who preceded him in death. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory. Michael's warm smile, strong spirit, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
