Obituary

Michael Hill was born in the Bronx, New York, to loving parents James Hill and Virginia Maxey. From an early age, Michael developed a strong sense of independence, humor, and resilience that shaped the way he lived and connected with others throughout his life.

Michael was a proud father to all of his children and held deep love for each of them. He will be sorely missed by his daughter Amber King, Necole Williams(Leonard) and sons Jesse and Jermaine Hill. He shared an especially close bond with his daughter Necole , whose devotion and care ensured that he was supported, honored, and lovingly looked after both in life and in death. He also cherished his role as a grandfather and held deep affection for all of his grandchildren, including Jeron Williams, Tyron Williams, Nevaeh Williams, Aaliyah Jefferson, and Angel Taylor. While the names and details of his other children are not known, they are lovingly acknowledged and remembered as part of Michael's legacy.

Michael shared close bonds with his siblings and extended family. He is survived by his brother Larry Hill and his sisters Savasia Ruffin Strauss of New York and Ellen Ruffin of Georgia.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents James Hill and Virginia Maxey, his brother William Ruffin, and his sisters Christine Ruffin, Janice Ruffin, and Deborah Ruffin.

Michael was a faithful member of Light of Life Community Church. He was always gainfully employed and worked at multiple restaurants throughout the Kansas City area, where his strong work ethic and larger than life personality left a lasting impression. Cooking was one of his greatest passions. He loved preparing Chinese food and soul food, often bringing people together through shared meals and conversation.

Known for his humor and outspoken nature, Michael never met a stranger. He told it like it was and lived authentically. He enjoyed traveling between New York and Georgia to visit family and valued those connections deeply. Michael was also an avid sports fan, proudly supporting both the Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Giants.

Michael Hill will be remembered for his honesty, his laughter, his love for family, and the meaningful connections he built wherever he went. His memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, family, and all those whose lives he touched.
