Milton Grayes, 53, passed away on May 31, 2019 at the home in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born on February 10, 1966 to the union of James David Grayes and Berta Mae (West) Grayes in Marion, Indiana. His parents, one brother James D. Grayes, and three sisters Lisa E. Grayes, LaWanda J. Billings and Jennifer N. Grayes all preceded him in death. Milton moved to the Kansas City area as young child and attended the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri, graduating from Lincoln College Preparatory class of 1984. After high school, Milton moved to Omaha, Nebraska where he made his home for over thirty years. He was employed by the Metropolitan Utilities District.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Angela Smith and one son, Marcus Smith both of Raytown, MO; one step-son, Tyrone Jamison and two step-daughters, Kashika Whitelaw and Sasha Whitelaw all of Omaha, NE; life partner, Angela Howell of Omaha, NE; one brother, John D. Grayes of Kansas City, MO; three sisters, Alice F. Grayes, Patsy Grayes and Kathryn Grayes all of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren, Anthani Smith-Carter, Raymond R. Richardson, Jr., Brionne A. Marie Chaney, Jay'Ceon Mays and Kashya Hall; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Monday, June 10, 1:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
