Aug 12, 1961 — Jan 11, 2018
Minister Clarence Tyrone Bledsoe, Sr., 56, was born August 12, 1961 in Kansas City, Kansas. He was the youngest child of nine born to Rudolph and Pearlie Mae Bledsoe. His parents, as well as four sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
Clarence received his education in Kansas City, Kansas at Wyandotte High School, graduating in 1980. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He later accepted his calling into the ministry under the leadership of the late Rev. O.L. Cobbins, Sr. He served in various ministries such as Youth Choir, Male Chorus, Brotherhood, Sunday School Teacher, BTU Director, Outreach Ministry and New Membership Class. He also served as Interim Pastor for a short period of time at Macedonia Missionary Baptist church.
On August 20, 1983 he married the love of his life, Andrea Denean Cobbins "Dinky". To this union four beautiful children were born.
Clarence was employed at Champs Service Lines, Johnson Controls and for over seventeen years worked for Kansas City Southern Railway until his health failed. He was a hard worker and would often work two to three jobs at a time.
In 2003, Minister Bledsoe united with Canaan Worship Center under the leadership of Pastor Tony D. Cobbins. In 2004, he organized Perfecting Kingdom Living Ministries and served as pastor until 2013. He then reunited with his home church Canaan Worship Center.
Clarence loved spending time with his family and enjoyed talking about the word of God to whomever he came in contact with. He was an avid Kansas Jayhawk basketball and Kansas City Chiefs football fan. He loved spending time on the grill, and watching Gunsmoke, Family Feud, and The Twilight Zone. Clarence departed this earthly life on January 11, 2018 at the University of Kansas Hospital. He will be greatly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of 34 years, Andrea "Dinky" Bledsoe; four children, Clarence Tyrone, Jr. (Miesha), D'Angela Tonette (Ronnie Robinson, fiancé), Andres Darnel (Toniesha) and Aericka Vae'Jon; six grandchildren, Ra'Niyah, Paris, Andres II, Raelynn, D'Aer and Ryan; two brothers, Rudolph Bledsoe and Vernon Bledsoe (Merrie); one sister, LaVonda Danner; mother-in-love, Minnie Cobbins, who he cherished as his own; brothers and sisters-in-love, Michelle Bledsoe, Angela Proctor (Marvin), Vance Cobbins (Debra), Terry Cobbins, James Cobbins, Otis Cobbins, Jr. (Christina), Tony Cobbins (Mary Ann), Eric Cobbins (Valerie) and Anedra Thomas (Gordon); special God daughter, Tylynn Lynch and grandson Tyler; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
