Minnie Lee Davis, 70, KCMO, passed away on January 30, 2017. She was born September 1, 1946 in Lisbon, Louisiana to Sterling and Mary Lee (Traylor) Thompson. Her parents; one brother, Dayton Wilson and one sister, Barbara Thompson preceded her in death. Minnie was educated in the public schools of Goodpine, Louisiana. For many years she worked as a home health aide. Minnie was united in marriage to William F. Davis. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and occasions. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, William F. Davis; three sons, Curtis Davis (Nicole), Willie Davis and Reginald Davis; two daughters, Michelle Henry and Rachel Bowls; seven brothers, Sterling Thompson, Jr. (Pamela), Robert Thompson (Brenda), David Thompson, Lloyd Thompson, Samuel Thompson, Calvin Thompson, and Marvin Thompson (Laura); four sisters, Julia Hopkins, Shirley Jones (Samuel), Bertha Bowens (Matthew) and Jennifer Harris (Rodney); three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 4, 2:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the chapel.
