Little Miss Peyton Michelle Barnett, 2, was born March 30, 2014 to Devin Barnett and Rachel Shepard in Kansas City, Missouri. Peyton's paternal great-grandmother, Lorraine Howell; maternal great-grandfather, Lynn Shepard; maternal great-grandmother, Martha Ann Weiss; and two uncles, Cory Carter and Shawndre Butler preceded her in death. Peyton was a lively, energetic, beautiful little angel who loved spending time with her parents, grandparents and all of her family. Peyton gave us a lifetime of love during her short time here on earth. Her contagious smile and her love for the Lord, as she often sang, 'Yes, Jesus Loves Me', will forever be attached to everyone's heart. She touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. Peyton Michelle Barnett received her angel wings on September 24, 2016. She will be solely missed by her parents, Devin Barnett and Rachel Shepard; brother Aiden Barnett; paternal grandparents, David and Angela Barnett; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Michelle Shepard; paternal great-grandfather, Albert D. Howell; maternal great-grandmother, Jean Shepard. She also leaves uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of family and friends to love her forever. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 1, 1:00 p.m. at Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Mound Grove Cemetery - Independence, Missouri.
