Obituary

Moniquia Deneice Harrison, 49, was born October 10, 1966 in Kansas City, KS to Marylyn Lambert and Donnie Stovall. Later, upon the union of Marylyn and Stephen Brauninger, Moniquia was adopted by Stephen. Moniquia was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri School District and graduated from Southwest High School in 1984. She then attended the University of Missouri in Columbia. Moniquia also graduated with her degree in Medical Assisting from Heritage College. On June 11, 1988, Moniquia married Keith Harrison and they had three children; Amanda, Ashley and Keith II. Moniquia loved people so much; she devoted her career to saving others, giving nearly 25 years of service as an emergency dispatcher. For the last 18 years, she chose a career with the Kansas City, Missouri Fire Department, where she met her second family in the Dispatch Center. Anyone who received a card from Moniquia in the last 5 years knows it was not store bought, but made from her hands with love. In addition to crafting, Moniquia also enjoyed calligraphy, photography, and spending time with her friends and family. She especially relished her weekend visits with her grandson Kamryn. On Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at 7:12pm, the Lord Jesus Christ called Moniquia home. She was preceded in death by her father Donnie Stovall; her mother Marylyn Brauninger-Stovall and her son Keith Wayne Harrison II. Her memories will be cherished by her father Stephen Brauninger (Carolene) of Urbana, MO; her daughters Amanda Harrison-Clarkson (Tony) of Kansas City, MO; Ashley Harrison (Carlton) of Shawnee Mission, KS; her brother Jason Stovall of Milbank, SD; her sisters Marjorie Hobbs of Kansas City, KS, Courtney Moore (Bryant) of Kansas City, Mo; life-long friend Keith Harrison Sr (Frenchelle) of Belton, MO; her grandson Kamryn Harrison; her aunt Judith Walker, uncles Otis Moore, Wilton Hobbs (Beverly), Michael Hobbs (Kate); 2 nephews Joshua Hobbs, and Christian Rogers; a special son Raphael Frazier (LaNesha) of Kansas City, Mo, and a host of cousins, great nieces and nephews, other relatives, acquaintances and friends Memorial services will be Saturday, July 23, 11:00 a.m. at New Generation Christian Center.
