Melvin R. Taylor was born on March 09, 1934 in Eldon, MO to Charles R. Taylor and Louise Taylor. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles R. Taylor, mother, Louise Taylor and 3 sons, Melvin R. Taylor Jr., Howard L. Taylor, Kelvin B. Taylor.

Melvin was educated in the public schools of Eldon, MO. He was employed by the KCMO Parks & Recreation where he worked for 27 years. He made his home in Kansas City, MO for over 65 years.

He was a loving father and grandfather. He loved wrestling, BET, and shopping at Walmart.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son Adrian R. Taylor (Annette); daughters, Adrienne L. Franklin, Alfreda Taylor, Trena L. Roby, Debbie Wells, Althera R. Taylor, Melva Taylor (Dwayne Sr.), Stephanie Richardson; brother, Larry Taylor; sister, Linda Williams, and a host of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and friends.

Services will be Monday, January 25, 2021, 11:00am at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am-11am. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences maybe shared on our website.
