Myrtle Mae Dunn was called home to rest on April 23, 2018. She was born October 6, 1947 to the union of Marcus E. and Charity Mae Dunn in West Hermondale, Missouri. Both parents, two brothers David & Melvin Peterson, and one sister, Arnetta Dunn preceded her in death.

Myrtle and her family moved to Kansas City, MO in 1967. She worked at Waynes Laundry Company in downtown Kansas City, MO for 12 years, before moving on to Nelkins Medical Supply, until they closed. Myrtle then started a Daycare she ran until she became ill.

Myrtle was a member of Good Samaritan Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board and Sunday School teacher for over 30 years.

Myrtle was the epitome of kindness, she never had a hateful word. Myrtle did not have any kids of her own, but she helped raised all her nieces and nephews was vital in shaping & molding their spiritual beginnings.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two brothers, Marcus Smith (Michelle) and Luther Dunn (Sonya); two sisters, Aretha and Judy Dunn all of Kansas City, Missouri. Her legacy of serving God and family will live on forever.
