Nicantor, 75, was born February 27, 2016 in Colon, Panama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vicente Acosta Chiar and Geralda McKennon Acosta, as well as his brothers, Carlos Acosta and Vicente Acosta. 'Nick', as he was lovingly known, completed his education in Panama City Colon. Nick met the love of his life, Sheila Delmia Acosta and they married on November 19, 1970. Together the couple moved to the United States in 1998. His family traveled and lived in Arkansas, Kansas and Texas before Nick made his home in Raytown, Missouri. After forty-four years of marriage, Sheila preceded him in death. Nick was a very hard worker. He was most recently employed with AAFES Military Auto Source for a number of years. He loved his family dearly and worked hard to make sure their needs were met. Nick went home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2016 at Truman Medical Center. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by five children, Violeta Parkins, Rodolfo Acosta, Edison Acosta, Indira Acosta and Roberto Holder; three brothers, Pablo Acosta, Ernesto Acosta and Arnaldo Dalmage; five sisters, Bruna Acosta, Sonia Acosta, Gloria Acosta, Alicia Acosta and Valencia Acosta; nineteen grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 4:00-5:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Private disposition. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors.
