Nicole Quarles, 42, passed away on November 10, 2019 at the Kansas City Hospice House after a lengthy illness. Nicole courageously and peacefully met the challenge of an extended illness until the Lord called her home.

She was born February 13, 1977 to Vincent Finnell and Vonzell Quarles in Kansas City, Missouri. Her step-father, Calvin Granger preceded her in death.

Nicole received her education in the Kansas City School District and earned her nursing certification in 1995. After many years of being a caregiver, she later became the staffing coordinator for Care Givers in 2010. Nicole had a passion for helping others. She worked in the nursing field until her health failed her.

Nicole was a loving, compassionate, giving woman. She loved to cook and have family and friends come together for fun activities, music, dancing and entertainment from her talented children. If you missed out on one of these barbeque gatherings, you missed out on good food, great fun and being surrounded by laughter. Nicole was selfless when it came to family. She, along with her companion Alton, raised their children in a loving, caring and safe home. Between the two of them all that mattered was the love, happiness and security of their children.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Kenyatta Thomas (Demetrius), Anthino Williams, Samuel Thomas, Rickiya Buford, Christian Herron and stepsons, Isaiah Herron and Alton Herron III; her mother, Vonzell Quarles; father, Vincent Finnell; brother, Larry Quarles; longtime companion, Alton Herron II and a host of other relatives and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Rest In Love.
