Deacon Norvel Daniels, 84, was born on June 19, 1934 to the late Ethel Ross Daniels and Nathaniel Daniels. He was preceded in death by both parents; son, Rodney Earl Daniels; siblings, Elias Daniels, Ruby Collins, and Layoma Woodard; grandchildren; Kayla Long and LaShonda Scott.
Norvel was educated in the public schools of Foreman, Arkansas. He accomplished many great things throughout his life and had several hobbies. He had a great love for trains and loved to build things with his hands. Norvel Daniels gave many years of service and dedication to General Motors – Buick, Oldsmobile, Cadillac Group and retired from there May 1, 1991.
Norvel Daniels was a member of the Memorial Church International and he served his church for 35 plus years in several different capacities as well as Assistant Chairman and Chairman of Deacons. In 2017 under the leadership of Apostle and Pastor Aiken, the Daniels Moss School of Ministry was established to commemorate his life and legacy to God and service to the ministry. Dea. Daniels was known for his soul-stirring singing, lining hymns, and heart-piercing prayers. He spent many years traveling and singing with the Silver Swan Gospel Singers
Dea. Norvel Daniels was a great man of wisdom, faith, and love. He showed God's love to every person that he met. On July 24, 1975, Norvel married Margaret Davis and they shared a life of love for over 43 years.
He departed this life on February 22, 2019, at St. Joseph Medical Center.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Margaret Daniels; children, Norvel Daniels, Jr., Gwendolyn Neal, Deborah Payne, Robert Crosby (Varice), George McGill (Vickie), Charlotte Williams Redwine (James); brothers, Nathaniel Daniels (Idella) of KCKS, William J. Daniels (Judy) of Denver, CO, and John E. Daniels (Catherine) of Blyght, CA and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services Saturday, March 2, 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Church International. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
