O'Dessa Maggie Lee Cargo, 69, of Kansas City, KS finished her earthly life course on July 25, 2017. O'Dessa Maggie Lee White was born August 22, 1947 in Oxford, Mississippi to Edgar White and O'Dessa (McThune) White. She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar White; stepfather, Wilbur Joseph Creighton; mother, Odessa Meline Creighton and a brother, Robert Lee Thompson. She is survived by her three children, Le'Nea Harris of Kansas City, KS, Richard Eugene Cargo, Jr. of Grandview, MO and Erica LaShun Cargo of Bossier, LA, and a adoptive daughter, Algen Sigars of Topeka, KS; four sisters, Parletha Dozier, Cellastine Holleman and Doretha Harris all of Mississippi and Edith Coleman of Missouri; eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. O'Dessa will be fondly remembered by family and spiritual family for teaching Bible Truths, never turning anyone away who needed someone to listen and give help from the scriptures. She enjoyed writing poetry and short stories, loved to sing as well as crocheting, quilting, spending time with her family and friends. Memorial services will be Wednesday, August 2, 2:00 p.m. at Coronada Hills Riverview Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses - KCKS. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors.
