Odessa Louise Washington, 75, passed away on November 18, 2018 at the home. She was born June 14, 1943 to the union of Tang and Ora Lee (Hampton) Washington in Shelby, Mississippi. Her parents; one brother, Anthony Washington and two grandchildren, Shatina Washington and Kavyea Curry II all preceded her in death.

Odessa lived in the Kansas City area over sixty years, receiving her education in the Kansas City, Missouri public schools and graduating from Manual High School. She furthered her education and became a L.P.N. working in various nursing homes as well at Truman Lakewood and Research Psychiatric Center.

Odessa was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Freddie Washington and Donald Guy (Felecia) both of Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Charlene Washington-Curry (Kavyea) of Raytown, MO and Tanya Scott (Jarrett) of Kansas City, MO; one brother, Gregory Washington (Valerie) of Indianapolis, IN; two sisters, Tanya Woods of Waukegan, IL and Shena McClendon of Coppell, TX; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins other relatives and friends.
