Odom Robert
Walker
Oct 11, 1931 — Oct 22, 2022
Odom Robert Walker was born on the eleventh of October in 1931 to Turner and Essie (Maxwell) Walker in Spiro, Oklahoma. To his nieces, nephews and friends, he was known as "Uncle O" or "Apple Jack." He had four siblings: Maxine "Max" (Walker) Evans (children: Audrey, Michael, Pamela, Gail), Artemis "Red" Walker, (children: Alex, Edward, Kathy) Norman "Pistol" Walker (child: Norman, Jr.) and Marjorie "Margie" (Walker) Lewis (children: Cheryl, Sandra, Fawn, Loretta, Patricia), and two additional brothers from his mother's second marriage, Nathaniel Lars, Jr. and Danny Lee Lars.
Odom was preceded in death by his parents, Turner and Essie (Maxwell) Walker; four siblings: Maxine,
Artemis, Norman and Marjorie; daughter Tyszu; and son Dwight.
Odom lived the majority of his life in Kansas City, Missouri; however, he also resided in the states of Washington and California.
Odom leaves a legacy of love, and when he loved you, he loved hard. Odom tried love and from it bore a daughter, Tyszu Darice (Walker) Thompson and son, Dwight Walker. From his daughter Tyszu, she gave birth to his only grandson, Marquis Alan Thompson, and Marquis fathered Odom's only great-granddaughter, Aria Thompson.
Odom left this world on Saturday, October 22, 2022, and he will be sorely missed and will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Odom is survived and loved by his grandson Marquis, great granddaughter Aria, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
