Ody Rainge, 84, KCMO, passed away on January 6, 2016. He was born on May 27, 1932 in Frierson, Louisiana to Ishmael Gregory and Mary Emma Scott and was raised by Henry and Pearl Rainge. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Lenoria VanDyke and son Lloyd Rainge Sr. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church in Frierson, Louisiana. In Kansas City, he united with Bannister Road Baptist Church where he was a longtime faithful member for over twenty-five years. In June of 1977, Ody married Doris and they were married for thirty-nine years. He worked at Owens Corning Fiberglass for over twenty years, from which he retired. Ody loved God, his family, and friends. He really liked attending family reunions and other family events. His favorite pastimes were fishing, hunting and traveling. He also loved to watch cowboy western movies and sports, especially baseball. Those left to cherish his memories include his loving and devoted wife, Doris Rainge; children, Patricia Rainge-Goudeau (Craig), Ody Rainge, Jr. (Jennifer) and Peggy Rainge-Young (Roy) all of Shreveport, LA; step-daughter, Talinda Kelly (Donald) of Lee's Summit, MO and Marvin Woods (Bridgette); nine grandchildren: Lloyd Rainge II (Tracy), Breana Rainge, Steven Goudeau, Michelle Rainge, Marcus Rainge, Morgan Young, Mariah Kelly, Malori Young and Donald Kelly, Jr.; three great grandchildren: Destiny Ragland, Addison Rainge and Madison Rainge; and a host of nephews, nieces,cousins, other relatives, church family and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 14, at Bannister Road Baptist Church. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E.
