Orrin D. Rembert Sr. was born to the union of Robert Rembert and Zelda Shepard Rembert on June 7, 1933, in Garnett, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Zelda Rembert, his sons, Robert, Orrin Jr., and Reginald Rembert, a grandson Orrin III, son in law Theodore Payne, and a daughter in law Johnnetta Rembert. Orrin graduated from Garnett High School. He was a member of the Canaan Baptist Church. He also served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was known to family and friends as "D". Orrin owned and operated Orrin's Refrigeration and Air Conditioning service for more than 35 years. Orrin met Margaret Marie Franks and they were married in 1954 and to their union six children were born. Orrin later met Rosa E. Johnson and they were united in marriage on July 30,1982. Orrin loved traveling in his motor home, cooking, barbecuing, and most of all spending time with his family. Orrin DeKoven Rembert, Sr. surrendered to the Lord his soul on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in Kansas City, Missouri. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Rosa E. Johnson; a son: Ronald Rembert, Kansas City, MO., daughters Rita R. Rembert Payne, Okmulgee, OK; Angela Dupree Moten (Kerry), Raytown, MO; Roslyn R. Rembert Franklin (Carnelious), Okmulgee, OK; stepsons: Kenneth Williams (Teesia), Princeton, NJ, Reginald Williams (Renee'), Broken Arrow, OK. Grandchildren, Shawntra, Helen, Angelena, De'Andre, Catrina, Jaray, Sr., Christina, Christopher, Haven; great grandchildren, Reign, Sheign, Leighn, Jaray, Jr., Journee, Jewelz, De'Angelo, Anderyona, Lovelei, Anthony III, Joyce, Marshall, Morgan, Ryan Sr., Melindy, Christopher, Alvontay, Adaya; and one great -great grandchild, Ryan Jr. A host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 28, 2022, at 12:00 p.m., Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Visitation 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Interment Blue Ridge Lawn Cemetery. Services entrusted to Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Masks are required for those in attendance.
