Palmetta Williamson Hill-Smith known as "Punkin" to her family, transition from her earthly home, to her heavenly home on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Swope Ridge Geriatric Center, KCMO. She was born to the union of Quinton Odell Williamson and Sadie Harden on June 18, 1928 Memphis, Tennessee, and was raised by her grandmother, Margaret Williamson in Kansas City. Her parents, husbands, one son Carl F. Hill, Jr., two daughters Diane Cecilia Hill and Pamela Denise Hill and a sister-in-law Jessie Mae Cheatham preceded her in her homegoing.

Palmetta was educated in Kansas City, Missouri, attending R. T. Coles (now known as Lincoln College Preparatory Academy). She worked as a clerk for over thirty years with the United States Post Office before retiring. She was a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church, Kansas City, Kansas and served on numerous auxiliaries at the church.

Fond and loving memories will be cherished by her grandchildren, Vegas LaVon Hill (LaKisha), Andre J. Hill (Valerie), Carl "Chico" F. Hill III (Taneeka), Robert E. Caldwell, Camille Y. Austin (Deon), Cherhea M. Frazier (Steven), and Catrice Hill; cousin, Doc and Erma Harden of Memphis, TN; 21 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; nephew, Leroy Cheatham (Theola); two nieces, Patsy Ann Sigur (Bertrand), Cecil Louise Anderson and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, November 9, 2:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
