Pamela (Pam) Jean Mitchem was born on December 10, 1948, in Leavenworth, Kansas. She was the second oldest of 10 children.

Pam received her education in the Kansas City, Missouri School District, graduating from Paseo High School. After graduation, Pam worked for the Social Security Administration until her retirement.

Pam was active in the Friendship Baptist Church choir and absolutely loved singing with her sisters. She attended Sunday School and was a member of the Joseph Sheepfold Ministry.

Pam passionately enjoyed interior decorating and landscape gardening. Her greatest joy was spending time being "Maw Maw" to her five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

"When I die, I want Everyone to know what a great grandma I was and how much I loved my grandkids."

Pam was preceded in death by her father, John Hubert Sr., Sam Hubert, and is survived by her mother, Ludie Hubert; her high school sweetheart and husband of 55 years, Harold Mitchem Sr.; two children that she truly adored, Harold Mitchem Jr. (ShaRhonda) of Dallas, Texas, Janee Dryden of Olathe, Kansas, and bonus son, Phil Taylor (Leona) of Dallas, Texas; five brothers, John Hubert (Kathy), Bruce Hubert (Arlene), Brian Hubert (Katrina), Harvey Hubert, and Damon Hubert; three sisters, Carmen Hubert, Adele Jones (Stan Jones-deceased), and Rhonda Hubert; her grandchildren, "The Five Heartbeats," Bryce Mitchem Sr., Chase Mitchem, Jade Dryden, Sydney Dryden, and Mckenzie Mitchem; great grandchildren, Bryce Mitchem Jr., Gavyn Mitchem, and Ramsey Mitchem; bonus granddaughter Jaya Balderston and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.
