Patricia Louise Elbert Booker was born on January 6, 1963, in Kansas City, Missouri. Her parents Frank Lewis Elbert Sr. and Joyce Evelyn Neal-Shobe both preceded her in death. Also, preceding in the afterlife are her adoptive parents Benny James Williams Sr. and Deborah Louise Strickland-Brown, her sisters; Debra Smith, Rita Smith a brother John Elbert; Nieces; LaDonna Smith and Angela Miller, son-in-law Erroll McCarver and her grandson of love; Martell Bridgewater.
Patricia accepted Christ as her personal savior at the early age of five. In 1992 God delivered her from drugs and she joined Temple of Faith Missionary Baptist Church until 2016. Later in 2016 she joined Genesis Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Lesley J. Winfield and was a member her until her recent passing. Patricia was proud of her sobriety of 30 years.
Growing up in Kansas City, Missouri Patricia started her education at Milton Moore Elementary from K-6, continuing to Central Middle School for 7th and 8th grade, then completed her high school education at Central High School for grade levels 9-12. In 2005 Patricia enrolled in Pioneer Community College gaining her certification in early childhood education. In July 2019, she followed her husband's leadership and graduated from Faith Bible Institute.
In 2010 Patricia officially became Mrs. Booker marrying Rev. SFC Richard Tyrone Booker Sr. The union was full of unconditional love and loyalty. Her loving husband Richard preceded her in death in 2016.
Patricia was a vibrant anointed soul to be connected to. Her hobbies consisted of gathering at church, worshiping, praying, studying the word of God, spending time with her family, traveling, and shopping.
Patricia had many occupations and was consistently recognized for her integrity and hard work. Patricia was an entrepreneur under her "Pats Touch of Love' franchise; she made gift baskets for all occasions, owned a childcare organization, and she also made jewelry.
Patricia leaves to treasure her memory her children Marcus Elbert, Shenekia Elbert McCarver, Raynisha Elbert Suber, Whitney Suber, and Rachel Clinton (Fletcher Clinton). Goddaughter; Feleacia Johnson. Grandchildren; LaByra Williams, King Clinton, Mylinda Clinton, Nasir Clinton, Rodteshia Johnson, Brittany Davis (Derreck Davis), Calvin Dunlap. Great Grandchildren; Ricky Monroe, Tyrae Hargrove, Tyron Johnson, and Derreck Davis Jr.; Sisters and Brothers; Frank Elbert, Brenda Childs (Nathan Childs), Virge Elbert, Sandra Hood, Brian Smith, and David Shobe. A host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Genesis Missionary Baptist Church, 7705 E. 87th St., Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Officiant Pastor Lesley J. Winfield. Interment Monday, September 26, 2022 at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
