Patrick J. Hicks, 41, was born on August 23, 1979 to the union of Albert Lee Hicks and Ruth (Harris) Hicks in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Lee Hicks, paternal grandparents, Jessie and Goldie Hicks, maternal grandparents, John and Thelma Christian, brother, Albert B. Hicks and sister, Edmenyan Jessica Hicks.

Patrick attended Winnetonka High School in North Kansas City, after high school he furthered his education at Forklift Safety Training where he graduated and received his OSHA Certification as a pit operator.

Patrick was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to many, he mentored other struggling young men in the community after he received his sobriety coin. Mayor Quinton Lucas stated, Patrick was the kind of man the city needed.

Patrick never married or had any children. He departed this life on Thursday, August 27, 2020.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Ruth Hicks; three sisters, Janice Murphy (Douglas), Stephanie Okoyee-Hill and Tamike Neal, a host of nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.
