Pearline Edwards was born on May 3,, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri. Her parents were A.D. Edwards and Edith Mallory. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Carolyn Estell, grandson, Damon Estell, brother, Jesse Barnes, and sister Margaret Williams.

Pearline and John Duncan had a daughter, Carolyn, on April 1, 1946.

Pearline and her family moved to Los Angeles in 1958. She spent most of her life in Los Angeles. Her daughter, Carolyn and Jerry Estell had her grandson, Damon Estell on October 24, 1970.

Pearline moved back to Kansas City MO after the death of her daughter, on December 30, 1977. She became a member of Pentecostal Church of God In Christ, where she attended regularly until her health began to fail.

Pearline departed this life October 20, 2023, at The Groves Nursing Home in Independence Missouri. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
