Obituary

Quentin Denzel Leggs, 19, was born January 28, 1998 to the union of Charles E. Leggs, Sr. and Leisa (Leach) Leggs in Kansas City, Missouri, the baby of eight children and the heartbeat of his parents. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louvell and Edith Leach; and an uncle, Lonnie Leach. As a lifelong area resident, Quentin was educated in the Hickman Mills School District and was a graduate of Ruskin High School class of 2016. While at Ruskin he was a member of the football team. Affectionately known as 'Q', he learned of Christianity at a young age and made his vow with God at Gethsemane Church of God In Christ. There he was christened and was regularly in attendance with his family. He later united with and was baptized at Genesis Missionary Baptist Church. He was presently attending the Trinity Temple Church of God In Christ. Q was a fun, loving child from birth, always saying or doing something to make to you laugh as he was quite the entertainer. He had a heart of gold when it came to being an encouragement towards his family and friends. He was always available and willing help whenever called upon. He truly loved his family and especially his cousin Ra'Shad and best friend Quentin Hall. Q worked several jobs throughout the Kansas City area. He was a licensed pharmacist for Adecco and was preparing to begin his new career in the field of physical therapy on Monday, February, 20, 2017, at Children's Mercy Hospital. Q crossed over to the other side into eternal life with the Lord on Saturday, February 18, 2017. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving parents, Charles E. Leggs, Sr. and Leisa Leggs, of the home; his close brother and mentor, Charles Leach and other siblings, Charles E. Leggs, Jr., Cassandra and Frank Leggs, Keela Leggs, Mike and Carla Leggs, Charley Leggs, Montay Leggs, and Mario Taylor; best friend, Quentin Hall and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, February 27, 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
