Randy Ronnell Smith, 51, was the son of Johnny June Smith, Sr. and Peggy Cyrus Smith, born April 8, 1965 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the first of two sons. Randy attended the Raytown School District, graduating from Raytown South in 1985. He later completed his education at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (AM&N). He has held employment as a Mathematics teacher for the KCMO School District, at the post office and the Internal Revenue Service. Randy grew up as a member of Centennial Methodist Church where he loved his life's lessons and about the love of God. Randy departed this life for his heavenly reign on May 17, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Smith, Sr. He will be remembered with love by his sons, Kemuel Smith, Xavier Smith, Dante' Smith and their mother, Sheryl Bolden; his mother, Peggy Smith; brother, Johnny Smith, Jr. (LaSeanda); great aunt, Voncile Jones; grandson, Kemuel Smith, Jr.; special nephew, Johnny 'L.J.'; special niece, Jaeauna; God-parents, Stephen & Shirley Brown; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 25. 2:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the chapel.
