Ra'Shad Dashon Leggs, 17, KCMO, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017. He was born September 7, 1999 to Ellery Leggs, Sr. and Adriana Seward-Leggs in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Lillie Seward; and three uncles, Andrae Seward, Terry Seward and Ernest Greer. As a lifelong area resident, Ra'Shad was educated in the Hickman Mills School District. He was currently a junior at Ruskin High School, but because of his hard work and dedication he was scheduled to graduate with the class of 2017. After graduation he planned to enter college with aspirations of becoming a pediatrician. Ra'Shad was a smart, stylish and kind-hearted young man. He loved shopping, going to the movies and doing the things of a normal teenager. He always had a smile on his face and kept a positive mindset towards everything in life. Ra'Shad loved everybody but had a special love for his nephews and nieces. He also had an unbreakable bond with his two older brothers and his cousin Quentin. He was a loving son and was the heart of his family. He will be truly missed. He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Adriana Seward-Leggs; father, Ellery Leggs, Sr.; two brothers, Ahmad Leggs and Ellery Leggs, Jr. (Kourtney); grandmother, Fern Greer; uncles, Vincent Seward, Kyle Seward and Jackie Seward; aunts, Angela Seward and Tina Newman; and a host nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, February 27, 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.
