Obituary

Raymond Mykel Douglas was born on November 09, 1989 in Wichita, KS to the loving mother of Arnetta Dixon-Love. Raymond was the first son born to Arnetta and the first boy in the Dixon family. As a result, Raymond was kindly nicknamed, The King, by his Missy Ann (grandmother, who preceded him in death). Raymond was called home by God on Monday, November 09, 2020.

Raymond was dedicated back to Christ in 1990 under the leadership of Bishop J.C. Gilkey Sr. in Wichita, KS. As a child Raymond attended St. Mark Church of God in Christ under the pastoral care of Bishop J.C. Gilkey. When Raymond reached his teenage years, he attended House of Refuge Non-Denominational Church under the pastoral care of Pastor Classie Brown-Hill with his family. It was at this church his relationship with God increased and he felt the anointing power of the Holy Spirit. Raymond began playing the drums at church and would often feel the Holy Spirit take over while on the drums describing the anointing as fire.

Raymond was loved by many but his greatest love was the love he share for his family. Raymond and Missy Ann shared a bond no one could break or understand. Raymond attended all national Church of God in Christ Conventions with his Missy Ann. Raymonds's Missy Ann loved to dress him in fancy suits, which sparked his love for fashion.

Raymond's friends remember his infectious smile and charismatic personality. He was very and had a way with words. When Raymond's friends spoke of him they often spoke about is genuine heart and the love he had for others.

Raymond's greatest love of all was his mother. He loved his mother unconditionally because he knew she loved him with her entire heart. He learned the foundations of love from his precious mother. Raymond loved to be with his mother and no matter what he knew if he called on her she would come running. Raymond was taught to end all conversations with "I love you" no matter how you are feeling. The last words Raymond said to his mother were, "I love you".

Raymond was very creative he loved to dance, play drums, sing and write music. More than anything Raymond loved to sing, he dreamed of being a famous singer one day. His charming personality always showed up in his love songs. Raymond always made time to sing to anyone a specialized love ballot.

Raymond is preceded in death by his grandmother, Izora Gilkey-Dixon.

Raymond leaves to cherish his memory, his mother and father Arnetta Dixon-Love and Nathaniel Love; six siblings Diamond Dixon, Sherman Carter, Michelle Love, Natalie Love, Kenneth Love and Genice Love; Grandfather Roosevelt Dixon; three Aunties Robbie (Brian) Benjamin, Janet Peel and Telisa Dixon; God Mother Taura Garnes; niece Delayah Williams and a host of other great aunties, great uncles, cousins and friends.
