Raymond T. Smith, 65, passed away on December 3, 2019 at the home. He was born on February 22, 1954 to Willa Mae Smith in Kansas City, Missouri. His mother and a brother, Sherrell Smith preceded him in death.

Raymond was a lifelong area resident and was educated in the Kansas City public schools. He was hard worker who started at the age nine, working with his mother in private homes. With these work ethics instilled in him, he used them to start his own business.

Raymond, for all of his life, was a lawn caretaker and all around maintenance repairman who could remodel and fix anything. He served four generations of families until his health began to fail. He was a great motivator to many young people that came to him for wise council, as he was known for keeping it real even if it hurt. He wanted you to know the truth about things in life.

Raymond was a loving, father, grandfather and brother who enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory: three children, Cornelius Maddox, Antonio Maddox and Tiffany Maddox; three brothers, Ronnie Smith, Donnie Smith and George Washington; grandson, Antonio Maddox, Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends.
