Reginald Lenall Smith Jr, was born on January 15, 1987, in Kansas City, Missouri, to parents Michelle

Merrick and Reginald Smith Sr. He was affectionately referred to as Little Reggie. His grew up in

central Kansas City, where he completed his education at Central High School. As a young child, he

was baptized at St. Andrew United Methodist Church. Reginald was the eldest of five siblings, which

included two brothers and two sisters.

Throughout his career, he held various roles as a cook, showcasing his enthusiasm for the culinary

arts, and he served as a supervisor at Go-Chicken-Go. Reggie had a profound love for music and

dance, enjoyed imparting fashion knowledge to his sisters, excelled at roller skating, and treasured

discussions with his grandmother about biblical teachings. His favorite color was purple.

Reginald was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Meredith Bartlett, and his paternal

grandfather, Wilson Smith Jr. He is survived by his mother, Michelle Merrick, and father, Reginald

Smith Sr.; brothers, Bryant and Dominque; sisters, Shenice and Tira; nieces, Summer, Amira, and

Ameeah; grandmother, Janice Smith; Aunt Kelly Baker; uncles Wilson Smith (Valerie) and Zachary

Smith (Cathy); stepmother, Nelva Holmes; stepbrother, John (Maggie); stepsisters, Tisa (Walt) and

Latoya; along with numerous cousins and friends who will deeply mourn his passing.
