Renee Granger was born on August 7,1976 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a beloved daughter of Robert and Rosemary Granger. She accepted Jesus at a young age. Renee spent most of her life in Kansas City, Mo., with a brief period of five years in Fort Worth, TX before returning to her beloved hometown. On January 19, 2024 Renee departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
Renee's educational journey began at Hickman Mills High School in KCMO. Following her graduation, she pursued higher education at Penn Valley Metropolitan Community College of Kansas City, where she earned her nursing certificate and CMT qualifications. Her passion for caring for others led her to a fulfilling career at Austin and Dooley, where she dedicated herself to providing compassionate care to Alzheimer's patients. Renee's strong work ethic and genuine love for the people she cared for made her a cherished member of the healthcare community.
Beyond her professional achievements. Renee had a zest for life. She had a talent for cooking, a love for R&B and gospel music and a warm heart that drew friends and loved ones close. Renee was not only a loving mother to her three beautiful children but also a budding entrepreneur. She proudly ran "Keygirl Creations." where she crafted cups, tumblers, shirts, and more.
In addition to her many passions, Renee had a special place in her heart for her two dogs, Diddy and Daisy. Their presence brought joy and comfort to her life.
Renee was proceeded in death by her beloved grandfather, Robert "Papa" Granger, her grandmother, Minnie Granger, her uncle Calvin Granger, and her stepfather, Larry Lacy. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be cherished forever.
Renee's memory lives on through her three living children: Key'era Granger, Keisha Granger, and Key'va Granger, all of Kansas City. She is also survived by her devoted mother, Rosemary Lacy, and her brother, Rodney Granger, as well as her stepbrother, Douglas Coaker, all residing in Kansas City, Missouri. She is fondly remembered by her aunts, Shirley Granger , Elouise Granger, and Janice Rhodes, her niece Isyss Granger, and a host of cousins and friends who were touched by her kindness and warmth. Renee's absence will be deeply felt, but her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.
