Renita D. Richardson, 56, KCMO, passed away on February 6, 2017. She was born December 22, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of the late Buster Lowry, Sr. and Annie Ruth Lowry. Her husband, Leon Richardson; Uncle Bobby; aunt, Mae Catherine and grandson, Glendale Wooten all preceded her in death. Renita was saved at a very young age and sang in the young adult and sanctuary choirs at Lee Chapel A.M.E. Church as a teenager. She was a graduate of Robert A. Taft High School, class of 1979. She loved caring for the elderly, a passion that drove her to become a licensed nurse. In 1992, she moved to Leavenworth, Kansas along with her three children. She then began working as a caregiver at Browns Group Home. She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Vincent; two daughters, Danielle and LaKiesha; two brothers, Buster Lowry II and Shawn Lowry; one sister, Datrice Lowry; two aunts, Lynette Lowry-Ficklin and Fanny Lowry-Early; twelve grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 25, 2:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Private disposition. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the chapel.
