Rita Lynnette Deloney, 57, was born December 31, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri to Harold Deloney, Sr. and Ruby Louise Ray. Her parents; brother, Harold Deloney, Jr.; nephew, Thomas Clark; George Buckley and Terry Wilkerson all preceded her in death. Rita, also known by 'Teri', was educated in public school of Kansas City, Missouri. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Christ Disciples Evangelistic Ministries, and attended Canaan Worship Center. Rita worked in production at the Kansas City Star Newspaper for over fourteen years, and more so recently worked at Walmart Stores. Rita enjoyed shopping, cross word puzzles, getting her nails done, cooking and spending time with her family. Rita transitioned to glory on Sunday, August 6, 2017 with her family by her side. She leaves to cherish her memory: seven children, Lerone Deloney (Maya) and Shawntel Deloney of Seattle, WA, Markeith Deloney (Antoinette), Tanisha Wilkerson, Tiffany Wilkerson and Shannon Buckley all of Kansas City, MO and Jamorh Deloney (Delight) of St. Peters, MO; one brother, Antoine Deloney; three sisters, Shelia Clark (Azar), Marcia Smith (Robert) and Vanya Deloney-Brooks (Darren); eleven grandchildren, fifteen nephews and nieces, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services Thursday, August 10, 11:00 a.m. at Community Fellowship Church of Jesus Christ. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.
