Robert E. Durant III was born June 7, 1968 in Kansas City, MO., to Robert Durant Jr. and Adoria Durant.

He was preceded in death by his dad Robert E. Durant Jr., and his Lorenzo, along with other relatives.

Robert was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri School District. He attended Central High School where he later graduated from in 1986. From there he would continue on to college at Missouri Western, where he then left and continued his education at Penn Valley Community College. Robert would play baseball in his early ages, where he then went on to high school to play football. Robert received many awards in football as well as spelling bee, and perfect attendance.

Robert attended Kansas City Temple Family Worship Center where he would help his Pastor Charles Little, start the build of the new church. He worked as security at NPB Company 1, at Power and Light district as well as warehousing.

Fats was a loving person that acted out and made people laugh with his sense of humor. He loved making his special pot of chili and gumbo. Fats wouldn't move to far from his mom. On his days of being free he loved hanging with his family and friends. Fats was a firm believer in God and loved God, he was always telling people to pray.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children; Eboney Durant, Raheem Durant, Lorenzo Lucas, Keyvon Durant, Dyamon Durant, Ralphel Roney, Trai Robinson, Reginald Cooper; his mother Adoria Durant, brother, Ronnell Durant, and sister LaShawn Durant, great grandmother Anna Locke. Nine Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, November 14, at 1:00pm at the Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment XII Gates Cemetery. Visitation 11:30am-1:00pm at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
