Robert W.
Johnson
Jan 16, 1971 — Jun 23, 2019
Robert Wayne Johnson, 48, was born January 16, 1971 to Sharon Jolly and Robert Williams, Sr. Sharon was the first of her siblings to share the joy of being a parent to Robert.
Robert attended Kansas City, Missouri public schools and graduated from Paseo High school class of '89. He was a driver for Mitzy Transportation Company and an active leader in his community. Robert accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the Rev. Kenneth E Ray at Highland Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri.
Robert was a pillar in his community, and a leader among a host of peers and family. His parents and supportive family began to instill in him morals and family values. As the oldest grandchild he demonstrated the meaning of family first. He led the charge of being a big brother and loved his sisters. God said that a father loves unconditionally, provides, and knows his children and Big Rob set ablaze the trail for his family as an active, awesome and handsome father.
Known by his granddaughter as "Pa-Pa", they enjoyed many activities together like dancing, singing, and face timing one another. He loved to see his granddaughter get excited when he saw her; he loved his new role and was proud to be a grand dad. On September the 6th of 2017, Robert met a special person whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed her as the person who became his best friend, and from that closeness he knew he had met the one. She loved him unconditionally and as of 2019 Robert was planning his forever with Ms. Stephanie Metcalf.
Robert departed this life on June 23, 2019 at the home. He was preceded in death by Grandpa and Grandma Williams, Uncle B.J. Williams, Uncle Byron Johnson and granddaughter Jael Johnson.
He is survived by his mother and father, Sharon Jolly and Robert Williams; maternal grandmother, Edith Johnson; three daughters, Sasha Johnson, Shaquala Johnson and Ebreontae Woolridge; son, Etevon Woolridge; three sisters, Waneka Benetez, Angie Burton (Terry Hardin) Shoni Williams and (Ramsey Williams); two brothers, Samuel Smith and Raymond Melton; fiancé, Stephanie Metcalf; grandchild, Janae Johnson; aunts, Glenda Johnson, Gloria Johnson, Victoria Ralls and Rochelle Williams; uncles, Carlton Johnson (Sylvia), Anthony Johnson (Debbie) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and other family members.
