Robert L. McCallop, 66 of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. He was born on Feb 28, 1955 in Kansas City, MO to Robert L. McCallop, Jr. and Lois R. McCallop. He was affectionately known to family and friends as (Bubba) and his sayings were "big Bubba no trouble" and "if a duck can pull a truck hook it up". Robert grew up in Shawnee Mission, KS and graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in 1974. He became a Heavy Equipment Operator with Shawnee Mission Public Works and after 35 years of service, he retired on September 19, 2011. Robert married Carrie President May 21, 2001 in Kansas City, KS. He enjoyed barbecuing, fishing, being with family and loved his trucks. Robert was preceded in death by both of his parents and sibling Daryl R. McCallop. Robert is survived by his spouse Carrie McCallop of Kansas City, MO; his sons Andre McCallop of KCMO; Etoise McCallop of KCMO & his daughter Jenia McCallop of Norfolk, VA; 8 step children; Marcus President , Antwan President, , Corey Richardson, Laron President, Tyrone Kelow, Natasha President, Lakisha Jackson, and Janie Brooks; sisters Janice M. Berry of Shawnee, KS and Harriett E. Taylor (Clarence E. Taylor Jr. II) of Overland Park KS; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. A funeral service will be held at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Home, 9100 Blue Ridge Blvd, KCMO 64138 at 11 am, Oct 13, 2021. Visitation will be 10-11 am same location. Burial will follow at XII Gates Memorial Gardens, 9500 Bannister Road, KCMO 64134. Masks and social distancing is required for service attendance. Services provided by Duane E.
