Ronald Eugene Brodie was born August 13, 1948, in Kansas City, MO to Walter David Brodie and Mildred Lucille Brodie. Ronald was preceded in death by both parents, his brother Donald Brodie, a sister Beverly Cooper, and stepson Tharius Hoskins. Ronald was educated in the Kansas City Missouri Public Schools. He enlisted in the Navy on January 29, 1968, and was honorably discharged January 9, 1973. He was a lifelong member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee. Ronald retired as a dispatcher from the United States Post Office in 2013 and prior to his illness Ronald was an avid golf player. "In his later life Granddaddy was a mentor to his children and grandchildren setting an example for his children and grandchildren to live up to." Grandson, Donthaevious T. Brodie Ronald departed life on November 1, 2021, at Research Medical Center. Ronald leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Diana Brodie, a sister Joan Brody; his sons: Ronald G. Brodie and Brian K. Brodie of Kansas City, Mo; daughters Bridget M. Lee of Kansas City, MO, Carla Brodie of North Kansas City, MO, and Tamicka L. Neal, Kansas City, MO; Son-in-laws: James Lee, Arvione M. Ford, and Cleveland Neal. 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Graveside service was held Friday, November 26, 2021, at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
