Obituary

Ronald Keith Jones, Sr., 47, KCMO, passed away on May 16, 2018. He was born May 23, 1970 in Kansas City, Missouri to Elizabeth Whitley and Cornelius Brown. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Matilda Jones; grandfathers, Lee Chester Brown and John Wesley McCants; uncle, Grady Jones; aunt, Mary Jones and cousin, Ke'Aire Good. Ronald attended the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri, graduating from Paseo high School. He accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of his late grandfather, Elder Lee Chester Brown. He was employed by the Marriott Hotels for over fifteen years.

Ronald was a dedicated father. He enjoyed working with people and was loved by everyone. He was a very outgoing person who took pride in his appearance. He believed everyone should be as happy as he was.

He leaves to cherish his memory: four children, Christine Jones, Ronald Jones, Jr., Stephen Hall and Tyesha Hall; his mother, Elizabeth Whitley (Elder Thomas); father, Cornelius Brown (Quinlyn); grandmothers, Rosia Jones and Classie Brown; siblings, Jeff Jones, Clarence Broders, Latonia Johnson, Bernice Brown, Elaine Williams, Nicole Parker and Melinda Brown; grandson, Eden Rogers; step-siblings, Danita Whitley, Rosie Blake Thomas (Don), Zena Sheppard, Marshawn Walker, James Whitley, Sylvester Callier and Thomas E. Whitley; uncles, Bruce Jones, Dobie Strong (Desiree), Gene McCants and Terrance MCCants; aunts, Beverly Jones, Pat McDaniels, Nashelle Johnson (Pete), ClydeAnn Lane, Cynthia Atkins (Frank) and Sharon Herron (Carl); great uncles, Charles McCovrey and Willie Jones; great aunts, Marian Richardson, Iteria McMillan and Annie Galloway; special brother, Marlon Cousin and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, June 2, 12:00 Noon at House of Refuge Family Worship Center. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
