Obituary

Rosetta Burton, a devoted mother, loving grandmother, and cherished friend, departed this life peacefully on April 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on September 20, 1942, in Kansas City, KS to the proud and loving parents Matthew and Fannie Fulson.

Rosetta was raised with strong values and a deep sense of compassion that followed her throughout her life. She attended Northeast High School, where she built the foundation for a life dedicated to hard work and helping others. From a young age, Rosetta had a nurturing spirit. This calling led her to serve as a nursing assistant, a role in which she provided comfort and care to countless individuals. Her work was more than a job—it was a testament to her generous heart.

Later in life, Rosetta fearlessly embraced new challenges, including a transition into industrial work where she became a skilled forklift driver. No matter the position, Rosetta approached every task with diligence, grace, and a willingness to learn.

To know Rosetta was to know unconditional love. She adored her family and found her greatest joy in spending time with them. Whether sharing a home-cooked meal, offering words of wisdom, or simply sitting in quiet presence, her warmth created a sense of belonging and peace. Her laugh was infectious, her hugs comforting, and her faith unshakable. Some of her favorite hobbies were going to the casino, playing cards and dominoes with friends!

Rosetta's legacy is one that will live on through the countless lives she touched. She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory and friends who will continue to speak her name with affection and respect. She taught us the importance of kindness, strength, and showing up for those you love—lessons we will carry with us always.

Though her earthly journey has ended, her spirit remains ever-present in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her life will be forever celebrated.

"Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure."
