Obituary

Rosie Goulden was born October 25, 1937, to Rosa Mae Daniels and Scott Lee Williams in Centerville, Mississippi. She was the eldest of her mother's six children.

She was a loving and devoted wife, the beloved mother of seven children, adored grandmother, and supportive aunt and friend. A dedicated member of her church. Known to all who met her as kind, gracious, and loving. Her truest desire was to have a large family. She has said that she was blessed to fulfill that desire, boasting more than twenty-five grandchildren and more than thirty great grandchildren. Her loving and nurturing way made her home one that many would go to for a mother's care.

Rosie accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Centerville, Mississippi. She joined New Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO over 2 decades ago and enjoyed the honor of being one of the Mothers of the church.

She retired from St. Luke's Hospital after more than 20 years of service.

Our precious and beloved Rosie's journey came to a close, October 19, 2020. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband, Bernell Goulden Sr. Five of her children, Johnnie Goulden Sr., Bernell Goulden Jr., Gladys M. Everette, Calvin Goulden, and Terri Boston. Her mother, Rosa Mae Daniels, and her father, Scott Lee Williams. Her brother Leroy Jefferson, her sisters Eunice Daniels and Hannah Raymond, as well as her brothers–in-love A. J. Raymond (Hannah) and Ezera Raymond Sr.

To keep her memory alive, she leaves a legacy in her devoted children: Almettia Goulden (Marvin Durant), Robert Goulden Sr. (Rochelle). A daughter in-love Dana Goulden. A step-son Darren McPipe.
