Obituary

Ruby Jewel Williams was born August 21, 1935, in Hugo, Oklahoma to the union of George Bailey, and Gertrude Bailey (Grant), an only child. Both parents preceded her in death. Shortly after graduating high school, she married Ernest Frazier and moved to Kansas City, Missouri, this union produced five children; three boys and two girls. She was a God-fearing woman who dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and continued to have faith in the Lord to the end of her journey. She was a kind and selfless person who was always there for her family and others, she was the type of person that strangers would approach and start a conversation with her every time she was out and about town. She spoke with soft and almost childlike voice the made everyone adore and love her, she never knew a stranger, and everyone was her friend. Her smile was infectious, her laughter was contagious, her wisdom was great and her generosity endless, but mostly she was a beautiful person both inside and out.

Ruby was a dedicated worker, she was employed at Hallmark Cards Distribution center for 29 years, from 1969 - 1998. Shortly after retirement her desire to give back and help people landed her a position at Salvation Army for another 10 years. So, in 2008 she officially retired for the second time, allowing her to enjoy her hobbies of shopping, traveling, watching her soap operas The Bold and the Beautiful and General Hospital, because she says that Sonny Corinthios is just so cute! And lastly, the thing that the family enjoyed most for was her cooking! She was an excellent cook, there was nothing she could not bake or make from scratch. She is most famous for her pound cake and lemon cake, turkey and dressing with gravy, greenbean casserole and broccoli rice casserole.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Warren Frazier, Gloria Davis, Alvin Frazier, Leonard Frazier and Carolyn Frazier, with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. Preceding her in death was her husband Ernest Frazier and granddaughter Rachel Ann Fisher.

Ruby in her 88 years of life has held many titles with the most important was Mother and friend, she

was a light that shown brightly and touched all, she will be greatly missed and will hold a very special place in the hearts of all.
