Obituary

Ruth Ella Bradford was born October 26, 1938 in Lewisville Arkansas. She was one of four children born to the union of Albert Bradford and Luella Isaiah Bradford. Ruth Ella departed this life on May 9, 2021 and was greeted by Heavenly Father. She was the longest living sibling and only girl in her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her three brothers Leo Bradford, Ollie Bradford and Albert Bradford II, her parents, grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles and her nephews Albert Bradford III and Anthony Bradford and her husband Anthony J. Stillwell. Ruth Ella accepted Christ at a very early age in Pecos Texas. She loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. She attended Pecos High School in Texas and graduated in 1956. In 1957, she joined the Military and was honorably discharged in 1963 when her duties were complete. After serving our country, she attended Prairie View A & M College in Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. In 1966. she joined The Women's Army Corp and was a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal during her tenure and had the opportunity to work in the U.S. Pentagon. After serving our country, Ruth Ella became an educator for many years and educated students in Colorado and in Kansas City Missouri Public Schools when she moved to Kansas City Missouri. She believed education was the key to success and made sure she encouraged all the nieces and nephews and children to do well in school. In her later years, she continued to educate and was the Sunday School Director for her church Faith Deliverance Church of God in Christ, where she was a member for 21 years and remained the Sunday School Director and a very faithful member until her passing. Ruth Ella was the family historian and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed family meals and going to the water fountain on the Country Club Plaza. She was an avid reader and enjoyed studying the word and teaching the word. She was a Breast Cancer Survivor and learned to manage her health and enjoyed visits from her nurse each week. Ruth Ella leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, her Sister-in-law Othalia Taylor (Lesley) Big Sandy, Texas, Brother-in-law Brian Stillwell (Carla) Topeka, KS, nieces Ethel Louise Oliver (Cisco) Denver CO, Karen Bradford (Terry), Tracey Bradford (Albert III d.) Raytown MO, Patricia Bradford (Anthony d.) Aurora CO, Sherry Franklin, Kansas City MO, Elizabeth Fisher (Scott) Hudson FL, Cassandra Drumheiser (Glen) West Reading, PA and nephews James Bradford, Kansas City MO, Larry Bradford (Valaida) Fayetteville NC, Dennis Bradford (Victoria) Kansas City MO, Al Franklin, Blue Springs MO and two Godchildren Tommy Brown and Darlene Mitchell and host of nieces, nephews, friends, love ones and beloved church members.
