Sandra Toretha Richardson, 68, was born July 12, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri-Westside to Solomon and Trolla Richardson. She was the youngest of twelve children. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and six sisters. Sandra was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri. She furthered her education at the University of Columbia. Sandra was employed by the Internal Revenue Services, from which she retired in 2005 after thirty-five years of service. Sandra was born and raised in the church, as she remained her entire life. During her early childhood years, she attended Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ, leadership of Jim. E. Abernathy. At the time of her sunset, she was a longtime member of the Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ, Memphis, TN, under the leadership of Bishop Milton R. Hawkins. Sandra departed this earthly life in May 5, 2017 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was devoted mother, loving sister, caring aunt, and dear friend whose memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory: her only child, Marcus A. Richardson of Memphis, TN; one brother, Kenneth L. Richardson of Grandview, MO; a sister-niece, Lisa McLeod; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and special friends, as well as her bowling family and Temple of Deliverance church family. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 27, 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh Institutional Church of God in Christ. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.
