Sarah Rosalind Newton, 84, KCMO, passed away on July 6, 2016. She was born February 26, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri to Leonard and Leola Clark. She was one of nine children. She was preceded in death by by her parents; husband, Willie Newton, Sr.; companion, Orthelle Todd; two sons, Glenn Newton and Broderick Newton; one step-daughter, Leola Clark Waller; two grandsons, Kevin Todd, Jr. and Michael Todd; and one granddaughter, Yodonda (Leslie) Newton. Sarah graduated from Lincoln High School in 1949. She was a member of Palestine Missionary Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother grandmother and great grandmother who was always willing to help family and friends with open arms. She loved watching sports, her soap operas and talking on the phone for hours. She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Yolande McTye, Willie Newton, Jr. (Linda) and Kevin Todd (Lynn) all of KCMO; step-children, Allen Todd, Orthelle Todd, Jr. both of KCMO, and Michael Todd and Wanda Todd of KCKS; four brothers, William Clark (Joan), Calvin Clark (Shirley), Alvin Clark (Evonia) and Theodore Clark (Ida); one sister, Emogene Scott; grandchildren, Frenita Harvey, Glennae Harvey (Brad). Glen Bell, Monica Rochelle, Willana Shyne (Chris), Kevona Dennis (Aaron), Dana Todd, and Sanchez Todd; nineteen great grandchildren whom she loved dearly and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 12, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Private disposition. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E.
