Shakeisha Denise
Urassa
Oct 12, 1979 — Mar 20, 2017
She was born October 12, 1979 in Kansas City, Missouri to Cynthia M. Harrison and Stephen E. Herriford, Sr. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Loretta Grimmett and Shirley Jean Harrison; grandson, Traevon Harrison-Short; and an aunt, Patricia Harrison. As a lifelong resident, she attended Westport High School and graduated from Wright Career College with an A+ Certified Computer Technician certificate. She worked as a caretaker through Oncall for her mother Cynthia for more than ten years, while at the same time continuing to raise her own children. With style, Shakeisha enjoyed shopping, often wearing unique shoes that no one else would have. Her favorite color was pink, but she was not afraid of color. A few of her favorite sayings were, 'Dat way', 'Know those things', and 'With your __ looking __!' Shakeisha loved to laugh and enjoyed loud music while talking just as loudly. She was a people person who, all in all, would help anyone that came her way. She loved her family and will be deeply missed by them all. She is survived by her children: Ty'Reece Harrison-Short, Ty'Rhan Harrison-Short, Tridentie Harrison-Coppage, Tihron Harrison-Kirby and Thalia Harrison; parents, Cynthia M. Harrison and Stephen E. Herriford; grandfather, Robert Harrison; siblings, Shikira (Ronny) Hoy, Ebony Harrison, Tammy Dunn, Sarika Kirby and Juanisha Kirby; granddaughter, Ta'Riyah Harrison-Troy; nine nephews and nieces, Da'Keveon, Castrele, Ronny Jr., Mar'keveon, Takira, Jayion, Alissia, Ben and Abani; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws and extended family too numerous to list. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 1, 3:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Private disposition. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
