Shaniqua L.
Flowers
Apr 4, 1993 — Dec 15, 2018
Shaniqua Lenee' Flowers known as "Snookems" and "Queen" was born April 4, 1993 in Kansas City, MO to Eugene Lenell Flowers and Christine Shari Shelton. Shaniqua was called home to receive her permanent crown of glory by the Lord on December 15, 2018.
Shaniqua attended Harold Holliday Montessori from age 3 until 6th grade when she graduated. She went on to University Academy where she graduated in 2011. She completed two years of college at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Mo in a double major of Psychology and Psychiatry until her health began to fail.
Shaniqua accepted Christ at an early age. You could often find her at Corinthian Missionary Baptist church right at her great grandmother Maggie's side or at Prince of Peace with her mom and brother. She later joined Life Changers Christian Center where she was active with the Praise and Worship team, the youth and children's ministry until it became impossible to do. She had a passion for many things such as children, shopping, poetry, debate, music, makeup, pearls and most of all family. Shaniqua would always greet everyone with a smile and never complained of her battle. She and her soul were wise beyond her years. You would often find her with her mom and brother spending quality family time at home or on short trips around the city. They were her best friends. Her love for her grandparents, uncles, aunts, service dogs and her family and close friends was immeasurable.
She was preceded in death by her father Eugene L. Flowers, grandparents Will and Vera Turner (paternal), uncle Anthony "Tony" Flowers (paternal), great grandmothers Maggie Baker (paternal) and Katie Campbell (paternal), Christine Clinton (maternal), Savanna Shelton (maternal) and Susie Shelton (maternal).
She leaves to cherish her memories: Christine S. Grant (mother); LeRoy Grant IV (brother/best friend) and Trevor Porter (brother); grandparents Delphia Clinton, John Clinton (Mary) and Perry Ward (Denise); great grandfathers, Thomas Shelton (Evelyn) and John Campbell; uncles Karl Shelton, Jamal Jackson (Carmen), Brian King (Norrise), Cotroy Clinton (Monique), Perry I. Ward Jr., aunts, Sheila Ellingburg (Edward), Demetria Flowers, LaShunda King all of Kansas City, Mary Haley of Detroit Michigan, God parents Ronnie and Teresa Beasley and Wendy Lewis and her service dogs Jazmyn and Aladdin; along with a host of other family members and friends that meant the world to her. Your Love has not gone unnoticed.
