Obituary

Sharon Dianna Smith peacefully departed this life on June 10, 2025. A beloved mother,

grandmother, sister and friend, she touched the hearts of all who knew her with kindness,

humor and a spirit of hospitality.

Sharon was born in Kansas City, MO on August 13, 1944 to Phillip and Louise Frazier. She

graduated from Central High School, married and poured her life into raising a son and

daughter.

Sharon accepted Christ at an early age while attending Barker Temple Church of God in

Christ. She also attended Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church and Centennial United

Methodist Church of which she was currently a member. She enjoyed attending Sunday

School classes and working with the greeting ministry.

In later life, one of Sharon's greatest joys was watching the Kansas City Royals baseball games.

She remained a steadfast fan amid multiple losing seasons. In 2015, she experienced a fan's

ultimate joy when the Royals won the World Series. To ensure she could continue to relive

those historical moments, she purchased the 2015 season on CD and watched it OVER and

OVER and OVER again! She was "FOREVER ROYAL."

Remaining to cherish Sharon's memory are her CHILDREN: Nina Johnson (Aaron), David Smith

(Debbie); GRANDCHILDEN: Brittany Johnson, Scott Thomas, and Nathan Burke; SISTER: Gloria

Brown (Ronald); and a host of nephews, nieces and special friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents (Phillip and Louise Frazier); brothers, (Robert Frazier

and Courtney Frazier); and sister (Phyllis Poke.)

Sharon's legacy is marked by her steadfast love and faith. We find comfort in knowing

she rests with Jesus Christ.
