Shelia Diane (Estell) Bennett, 57, passed away at home in her sleep on September 2, 2017.She was preceded in death by her nephew, Shelton Maceo Estell. Shelia was born September 23, 1959 to Linnie (Phillips) Nellom of Kansas City. She was educated in the Kansas City School District and graduated from Manual High School, class of 1977. Shelia loved spending time with her family and was proud to become a first time grandmother. She enjoyed music and cooking. Shelia is survived by her husband, Gerald Bennett of the home; son, Lee Rimmer of Missouri; daughter, Lucretia Rimmer of California; mother, Linnie Nellom of Missouri; brother, Shelton Estell of Missouri; sisters, Sandra Estell, Lucy Campbell and Shirley Estell all of Missouri; granddaughter, Aniyah Harris of California; nephews, Ellwin Estell and Price Estell both of Missouri; nieces, Ebony Taylor, Kendra Estell, Donyale Parker, Lucy West, Linnie Estell all of Missouri and Indra Hannett of Massachusetts; and her very close extended family members and friends. Funeral services Saturday, September 9, 2:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church.
