Obituary

Sheliah Marie Bush entered this world on June 22nd, 1960 in Mansura, Louisiana to James Edward Brown and Janice Mary Johnson.

Her parents along with her brother James Edward Brown Jr. preceded her in death.

Sheliah attended East High School where she graduated with her high school diploma. She spent most of her early adulthood working as an Administrative Assistant at Paul Robinson Middle School, St. Luke's hospital, and Helzberg Diamond to name a few.

Sheliah married Lafayette Bush III on October 23rd, 1982 and to their union two children were born, Maurice and Melandy.

She was a member of the Raytown Church of Christ where she managed the church bulletin, and the recording of the Sunday message. Over her Christian walk, she taught Children's Sunday School, The Adult's Visitor's along with her husband. She was involved with cooking for the Meals on Wheels program. She also volunteered to type up novels for the blind to be put in braille.

Sheliah's hobbies were traveling, crocheting, DIY home décor, movies, and shopping. She loved to attend the Prison Ministry workshops along with her husband.

Sheliah was loved and appreciated by all and she was a women of compassion.

Sheliah departed this life on October 12th, 2020 at her home.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Her husband Lafayette Bush III of 38 years, son Maurice of Lee Summit Mo, daughter Melandy of Overland Park, KS, sister Shonda Mallory of Charlotte, NC, mother in law Lillie Burney of Kansas City, Mo, In laws Patricia Butler (Larry) of Jackson, MS, Lynetta Seals of Kansas City, Mo, Adrian Belcher of Kansas City, Mo, Lisa Hicks (Wesley) of Stafford, Va, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Private, Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 24, Public Viewing 9:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m. Interment Mount Moriah Cemetery. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.

Due to COVID-19 Pandemic all guest must wear masks.
