Sherri Louise Brown, 48, passed away on October, 15, 2016. She was born on January 8th, 1968 to the union of Robert Earl Brown and Marsha Louise Brown Irvin. She was the youngest of ten siblings. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Robert Brown and Bert Dillard; grandmother, Sarah Mae Brown; father, Robert Earl Brown; uncles, Dewitt Brown, David Brown, Stephen Brown and Frederick Brown; aunts, Mildred Burnette and Flora McNair; and cousin, Burt O. Dillard III. Sherri was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District, graduating with honors from Southeast Senior High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. Sherri went on to complete her degree at the University of Missouri Kansas City, Magna Cum Laude, and was a member of the writing class. She was also a member of the PHI BETA KAPPA Chapter. Sherri was formerly employed at the Internal Revenue Service until April of 2016 as a Tax Examiner where she dedicated over twenty years of service. Sherri had an avid love of cooking, (one of her specialties was baking peach cobblers), decorating, party planning, (where she planned her mother's 50th birthday party), sewing, helping the homeless as well as helping family and friends. She was also a caregiver to her mother and Mr. Irvin, a devoted Christian, most of all she loved her family. Sherri was a true angel on earth. She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Marsha L. Irvin; step-father, James B. Irvin; grandmother, Eva Mae Dillard; brothers, Robert 'Bobby' Brown of Nashville, TN; Craig O. Brown (Kim Brown) of Lancaster, CA, Michael Brown and Daniel Brown of Phoenix AZ, James M. Irvin of Kansas City, MO, Mark Irvin of Las Vegas, NV; step-sisters, Kimberly Thompkins of Phoenix, AZ, Stephanie Williams and Salane Preston of Las Vegas, NV, Antoinette Shannon of Riverview, FL and Joy Irvin of Hampton, GA; nephews, Steffen Fox of Nashville TN and Craig Brown, Jr. of Lancaster, CA; special friend, Audrey Brooks of Weaver, AL; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, October 24, 11:00 a.m. at Sheffield Family Life Center. Interment Mount Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
